THE SUMMIT OF HOPE HELD IN CHAMPAIGN ON TUESDAY JULY 12th 2011 at Straford Park Bible Chapel

Another unbelievable day as the Champaign Community gather together to make a difference in the lives of 180 offenders. Everyone wins when we make safer communities through reduced recidivism. Congratulations to all involved !!


Total of 180 offenders participated in the Champaign Summit of Hope

116 received an HIV test

43 received an Identification card from the Secretary of State

Over 30 sat down with a hearing Officer from the Secretary of States office

Question#5 What did you like the best?

I liked the hospitality that each worker gave and their care and concerns, The Whole Summit, Sandy is the best, A/C, Hands on talks, all of it, The presentation of information I received, Everything Thank You, information from all agencies, Sandy was real helpful, I appreciate the help and support they showed, food, nothing, food, meeting people and the long wait, friendly people, help, work a job, got new drivers license, none of it, it’s good that you got the program helping people get ID, reading spelling, Illinois Network Center, jobs, all the opportunities, clean slate and the ID info, Illinois work net and Parkland College, voters registration, Secretary of State, all of it, it was very helpful, everything, all except the HIV test, finding all about help ex-cons can get, the ID’s job fair, Drug test, my guide on my tour, public health because I need to quit smoking, Child support and Illinois skills match, I like the presenter from Parkland College, the helpfulness, hospitality, the whole environment was nice and helpful Thanks, the help with getting me a state ID a lot faster and the staff was friendly and helpful, I don’t know, nothing about jobs was ever presented felt deceived, job training, Jody assisted me very well and Susan and Rick with Champaign Consortium, Parkland, Everything, the help and concern, all the nice people who helped and answered all my questions, Renewing my drivers license, Knowing there are resources for someone like me, all of it, getting a ID and the consortium and starting my new job today, all, the total program, all, a lot of help!!, gome, criminal record info, the patience of the nice lady who walked with me through all of this, everything, all, the help and information that was provided, everything, the support for ID I have been having trouble with that, everything, Grow, the whole program I rate it 100% over all, all, the assistance and guiding through the different exhibits, how nice everyone was, Secretary of State and Parkland College, everything, Information, Because I’m trying to better myself they had some good programs that I attended and getting my ID, the information, everything, being able to get and ID on the visit, free HIV test and help getting proper ID, UCAN program, the way we walked through everything, all, people and staff were very kind, Jody, everyone cooperates good, that they had all the services they did, information about school, school, that the services are available here in our community, The information about clearing my record, they were very helpful and informal, Parkland College, The one that gave me info on my child support, finally getting a chance to talk to the PRB, the job info, the respect from all representatives, free ID and drivers licenses, all the help that came with it, all of it, The positive motivation,

Wish this would be something that the State would keep around, I’m glad I came, Thank you ! ! , I got my ID and people were very helpful, Keep up the good work for US Thank You
